DigiSoundBox is a free Android app that turns your smartphone into a smart payment sound box. It reads payment notifications from your selected apps and announces them via voice — just like a hardware sound box, but smarter. It works with UPI, NEFT, IMPS, RTGS, bank SMS, and digital wallets.

Yes. DigiSoundBox works entirely on your phone using the built-in speaker. No external device, Bluetooth connection, or additional hardware is needed. Your phone IS the sound box.

Yes. All core features — voice alerts, ML learning, fraud protection, transaction tracking, team sync, and analytics — are completely free. Optional premium features may be available in the future.

Yes. DigiSoundBox uses your phone's system language and currency settings, so it works in any country. Deep SMS parsing (with bank name detection, IFSC codes, etc.) is available for India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. For other countries, the app reads payment notifications from any app and announces them — basic but functional worldwide.

DigiSoundBox has 10+ built-in languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Odia, Nepali, and Bhojpuri. Additionally, it uses your phone's text-to-speech engine, so it can announce in any language your phone supports. Bilingual mode lets you hear announcements in two languages simultaneously.

Yes. For Indian bank SMS containing IFSC codes (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS transfers), DigiSoundBox extracts the sender's name from the 11-character IFSC code pattern. For example, "SBIN0001234-RAMESH KUMAR" is parsed to show "Ramesh Kumar" as the sender. It also extracts transaction reference numbers (UTR, NEFT ref, UPI ref).

No. Raw SMS text and notification content are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. The only data synced to our servers is anonymous ML correction data — numerical feature vectors (20 numbers) with no personal or financial information attached. DigiSoundBox runs on-device pattern matching to detect 7 types of threats: phishing links, fake KYC messages, OTP theft attempts, prize scams, job scams, loan scams, and malware links. When a threat is detected, the app plays a voice warning instead of the normal announcement.

Important: Fraud detection is an additional safety layer and is not guaranteed to catch all threats. Always verify suspicious messages independently.

Never. OTP messages are never shared with any team member (Staff, Accountant, or Partner) under any circumstances, regardless of your settings. OTPs stay on your device only.

Yes. Use the Team Sync feature to invite an Accountant with a role-specific invite code. They get:

• Silent transaction log (no TTS announcements)
• CSV export for accounting
• Multi-client support (one accountant can serve multiple shop owners)
• Push notifications for each transaction

Only transaction metadata (amount, type, sender name, bank, timestamp) is shared — never raw SMS text or OTPs.

• Staff — Hears TTS voice announcements on their phone (up to 5 per shop)
• Accountant — Silent transaction log with CSV export and multi-client tags (up to 2 per shop)
• Partner — Silent transaction log with full view (up to 2 per shop)

The Owner generates role-specific invite codes. Each code is single-use and expires in 48 hours. The Owner can revoke any member's access at any time.

When you tap ✓ (correct) or ✗ (incorrect) on a transaction, the app extracts 20 numerical features from the notification pattern and stores the correction locally. These corrections are applied immediately — the next similar notification will be classified correctly. Anonymous feature vectors (numbers only, no text) are periodically synced to our server. We use aggregated corrections from all users to create global rules that benefit everyone.

Yes. You can disable ML sync in the app settings. Local learning will still work — the app will learn from your corrections on your device. Only the cloud sync (uploading anonymous corrections to our server) will stop.

Check these steps:

• Go to Android Settings → Notification Access → ensure DigiSoundBox is enabled
• In the app, go to Apps section and ensure the correct payment apps are selected
• Check that the phone is not on Do Not Disturb or Silent mode
• Check that Schedule is set correctly (the app may be outside active hours)
• Check that Vacation Mode is not enabled
• Restart the app if notifications stopped after a phone reboot

Tap the ✗ button on the transaction and select the correct type (Received, Sent, Failed, Not a Transaction, or Spam). The app learns from your correction immediately and will classify similar messages correctly in the future. The more corrections you provide, the smarter the app becomes.
